Background

A collaborative work from myself and a team of Game Design Students I led, creating a EVE IP Project with a heavy focus on navigating a ship with a grapple mechanic.

My Contribution
As the lead of the project, I implemented the mechanics from scratch in unity and created the world space.

I worked with my colleagues to extract level segment ideation and provided critical feedback in order to guide this process.

Reflections

This project was meant to be a game based on the EVE-IP, however due to time constraints, a lot of the integration of the IP into the prototype didn't make it in and made the project more of a demo for the puzzle mechanics rather than a game.

The level design was separated out to a level per designer, however the project suffered from a lack of consistency as there was not enough communication from designer to designer.

This had to be fixed during my implementation of the level designs to bring the levels in line with each other and for them to fit mechanically with one another.
